Reekado Banks marriage plans change as he reveals uncertainty about getting married soon, citing personal growth and emotional maturity as reasons

Speaking on The Esther Show, the former Mavin Records star admitted that his views on marriage have changed dramatically in the last two months.

Popular Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has revealed a surprising shift in his marriage plans.

The Oluwa Ni crooner disclosed in a recent interview that he is no longer certain about getting married soon.

“In my last interview, which was two months ago, I was pretty sure about my stance. I said I would get married later in the year, but now I’m in a very different place,” he said.

Reekado Banks clarified that his indecision is not related to his music career. Instead, he pointed to personal growth as the reason behind his evolving mindset.

“It has nothing to do with my music career. It’s about me and my emotional intelligence, which I’m still working on,” he explained.

The 30-year-old artist remains open to the idea of marriage but said he is no longer rushing into it.

Reekado Banks has always expressed admiration for marriage, shaped by his upbringing and family values.

Despite his uncertainty, many fans praised his honesty and willingness to prioritise emotional readiness over societal pressure.

Reekado Banks, whose real name is Ayoleyi Solomon, shot to fame after joining Mavin Records in 2014.

He left the label in 2018 and has since continued to build a successful career as an independent musician.

“Back then, I was sure, but now I’m not,” he said simply, reflecting his current emotional state.
