Afrobeats sensation Daniel Benson, known professionally as BNXN, has taken the music scene by storm with the release of his much-anticipated second studio album titled Captain.

The album dropped on Thursday and marks a bold new direction for the singer.

Spanning 16 tracks, the project features a mix of reflective lyrics and cross-genre experimentation.

It includes guest appearances from top talents such as Seyi Vibez, Victony, FOLA, and the acclaimed Soweto Gospel Choir.

BNXN drops Captain album at a time when fans have eagerly awaited new music following the massive success of his previous projects. Speaking about the album, the singer described it as his most vulnerable and honest work to date.

“This album represents who I am right now and everything I’ve been through to get here. It’s the most honest I’ve ever been in my music,” BNXN said.

The album contains recent fan favourites like “Very Soon” featuring FOLA and “Fi Kan We Kan” with Rema, tracks which already boast over 185 million combined streams.

Other highlights include “Cutesy, Totori” and “Cough Syrup” with Victony, showcasing BNXN’s ability to blur genre boundaries.

Production credits for *Captain* include industry heavyweights such as Jiggy, BlaiseBeatz, Vampire Craze, Rymez, Kel P, Synx, and Gemini Major.

The album was mixed by Synx except for “Phenomena,” which was mixed by Leandro “Dro” Hidalgo and mastered by Stan Greene.

BNXN rose to fame with viral collaborations like “Finesse” with Pheelz and “Mood” alongside Wizkid.

His 2023 album Sincerely Benson amassed over 910 million streams, while the joint 2024 *RnB* EP with Ruger surpassed 455 million global streams.

Fans and industry insiders alike are calling Captain a defining moment in BNXN’s career.
