Regina Daniels has issued an emotional plea to Nigerians, urging them to stop hurling insults at her mother, Rita Daniels, amid her ongoing marital crisis.

In a heartfelt Instagram video posted on Wednesday, the actress spoke directly to her followers, expressing pain over the persistent attacks against her mother, who she said has no hand in her marital decisions.

Regina Daniels stressed that she alone made the choice to marry young, describing it as a conscious decision made against her family’s initial reservations.

“Please, I am begging everyone, stop insulting my mother. Na me carry my two legs enter,” she said. “She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. She is strong, she’s my God on earth. My mum held it down for seven good years. She warned me, my brothers warned me. I’m so ashamed to say I fell in love.”

The actress firmly denied suggestions that she had been pressured or manipulated into marriage, revealing instead that she took deliberate steps to ensure the union went ahead, even going as far as visiting a police station to report family members who tried to stop it.

Regina Daniels admitted that public scrutiny is part of fame but urged Nigerians to draw the line when it comes to dragging innocent relatives into personal controversies.

With her brother, Sammy West, still reportedly detained and the family facing emotional strain, she appealed for empathy and restraint.

She reiterated her love and respect for her mother, describing her as a “powerhouse” and the reason she continues to stay grounded despite public criticism.
