Rivers State Assembly begins screening nine commissioner nominees submitted by Governor Siminalayi Fubara for confirmation

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced the screening of commissioner nominees submitted by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The nine nominees were presented to the House at approximately 10:00 am on Monday as part of the confirmation process for appointment as commissioners and members of the State Executive Council.

The Assembly had earlier invited all nominees to appear for scrutiny, ensuring they meet the requirements for the respective offices. The screening process is expected to determine the suitability of each candidate before confirmation.

This step follows Governor Fubara’s submission of the names, reflecting the State Executive’s ongoing effort to strengthen governance and administrative capacity across Rivers State.
