Rotary Club of Victoria Island East installs 39th President and honours the Olota of Ottaland in a heartwarming celebration of leadership and service

The Rotary Club of Victoria Island East has officially installed Rotarian Mokesioluwa Seun-Adedamola as its 39th President in a grand ceremony held in Lagos.

The event, which took place on Sunday, 20 July 2025 at the Cuson Centre, Victoria Island, welcomed royalty as the Olota of Ottaland, His Majesty Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, graced the occasion.

His Majesty was honoured as the Royal Father of the Day and received a Special Award in recognition of his steadfast commitment to community development. The award celebrated his leadership and strong support for service-driven initiatives.

Rotary Club of Victoria Island East showcased its continued focus on humanitarian service and community impact. In his remarks, Kabiyesi praised the club’s enduring legacy and encouraged members to stay dedicated.

“As a people, we have a shared responsibility to care for one another,” His Majesty said. “Rotary has long championed this core value.”

The newly inducted President, popularly known as Akesi, received strong endorsements from members and guests alike. Her tenure is expected to deepen the club’s tradition of leadership and impact.
