Senegal claimed their second continental title in a match that had been goalless during regulation time.

Mané finished the tournament with two goals and four assists, including the crucial setup for Gueye’s match-winning strike.

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, who scored three goals and assisted four in six matches to help Nigeria secure third place, narrowly missed out on the award.

Lookman earned two Man of the Match honours during the tournament, and across two AFCON editions, he now has six goals and five assists.

Only four Nigerians have previously won the Man of the Tournament accolade: Christian Chukwu (1980), Rashidi Yekini (1994), Austin Okocha (2004), and William Troost-Ekong (2023).

Morocco, despite finishing as runners-up, claimed the Fair Play award, while goalkeeper Yassine Bounou won Best Goalkeeper.
