Sunday Igboho wanted list Nigeria is again under scrutiny as the Yoruba Nation advocate called on the Federal Government to clear his name and ensure his freedom.

During a visit to Oba Francis Alao, the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Igboho expressed frustration about being labelled a fugitive.

“I want the Federal Government to remove my name from the wanted list because I am not a criminal,” Igboho said. “I can’t sleep in my own house.”

He shared that Nigerian embassy officials in Germany denied him a passport renewal, citing a notice from the FG declaring him wanted. According to Igboho, the situation has left him stateless and at risk.

Igboho also urged the government to take South West security more seriously. He said if the government cannot entrust him with the task, they should assign someone capable, and he would offer support.

Oba Alao, in response, praised Igboho’s efforts, saying he contributed significantly to the emergence of a Yoruba president. He promised to recommend him formally for a security leadership role in the region.

The monarch said, “You are not a criminal. I appeal to President Tinubu to grant you pardon and restore your full rights.”

He added that Tinubu’s presidency will likely run a full eight years, and Igboho should be home to support regional stability.
