Super Falcons Olympic qualifiers 2028 path sees Nigeria facing either Sudan or Comoros in the second round of the qualification series

Nigeria’s women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, have been drawn against the winner of the first-round tie between Sudan and Comoros in the second round of the African qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games.

Sudan and Comoros are scheduled to face each other between June 1 and June 9 in a two-legged fixture to determine who progresses.

The winner will meet Nigeria between October 5 and October 13 in the next stage of the qualification series.

The Olympic qualification process for African teams will span five rounds, with only two slots available for the continent in the women’s football event.

Nigeria and Zambia represented Africa at the previous Olympic Games held in Paris, France.

The 2028 Olympic Games are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, United States, from July 11 to July 29, 2028.

The Super Falcons will be aiming to secure another appearance at the global tournament as preparations intensify for the qualification campaign.
