Taraba arms trafficker arrest shocks Wukari as troops recover ammunition, cash, and phones in a joint DSS-army raid. Suspect now aiding investigation

Taraba arms trafficker arrest has jolted Wukari Local Government Area following a precision raid by Nigerian Army troops and the Department of State Services (DSS).

Acting on credible intelligence, operatives apprehended 29-year-old Bulyami Shuaib, a suspected arms trafficker from Belango Village in Karim Lamido LGA. He is believed to be a major player in an active arms trafficking network under surveillance for months.

The raid led to the recovery of 362 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one 7.62mm NATO round, ₦842,100 in cash, a black Jing Cheng motorcycle, two mobile phones, silver rings, and a First Bank ATM card.

Shuaib is currently in custody and has reportedly begun cooperating with investigators providing critical intelligence to uncover more members of the trafficking ring.

Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, Commander of 6 Brigade and Sector 3 OPWS, commended the troops for their professionalism and called on citizens to support ongoing security efforts with timely information.
