Temi Otedola takes husband’s name following her marriage to Afrobeats singer Mr Eazi, officially adopting the surname Ajibade.

In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, Temi said the decision reflects her personal choice as a married woman, though she fully respects women who choose to retain their maiden names.

“I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name,” she explained. “But it’s my personal choice. I also respect a woman’s ability to choose.”

Temi, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, also discussed the importance of privacy in relationships, noting that “moving in silence allows you to build the story you want and share it when and how you’re ready.”
