FC Porto head coach Francesco Farioli has expressed confidence in striker Terem Moffi ahead of the club’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash against Nottingham Forest, backing the Nigerian forward to make an impact in the decisive fixture.

Francesco Farioli made the comments while addressing the media ahead of the second leg, as Porto look to secure progression after a tightly contested 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Terem Moffi, who joined FC Porto from French side OGC Nice during the January transfer window, endured a quiet outing in the opening leg and was substituted early in the second half as the match unfolded.

Despite that, the Porto manager maintained strong faith in the 26-year-old striker, insisting that his commitment and work rate remain unquestionable as the club approaches a crucial stage of the competition.

“Both Francisco Moura and Terem Moffi have been giving everything they have,” Francesco Farioli said, highlighting the squad’s collective effort ahead of the encounter.

Terem Moffi Europa League campaign has shown flashes of promise, with the Nigerian international scoring once in three appearances in the competition since his arrival in Portugal.

Moffi was also named among the substitutes during Porto’s recent 3-1 victory over Estoril Praia, as the club continues to manage his integration into the squad.
