Tinubu Ondo recruitment 2027 plan targets 98,325 canvassers to drive grassroots mobilisation ahead of the presidential election

The Ondo State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Victor Olabimtan, on Tuesday disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the recruitment of 25 canvassers from each polling unit across the state to support his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential poll.

Olabimtan said the directive would produce 98,325 recruits drawn from the state’s 3,933 polling units, with each canvasser expected to mobilise at least five voters.

He made the disclosure during the inauguration of the Ondo State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Akure.

The coordinator explained that the initiative is designed to deepen grassroots engagement and bridge communication gaps between government policies and citizens.

Tinubu Ondo recruitment 2027 strategy, he said, places emphasis on polling units as the decisive base for electoral victory.

“The President has directed that in each polling unit, we should recruit 25 canvassers. These individuals will be remunerated three months before and two months after the election,” Olabimtan said.

He added that payments would be made directly to the canvassers, while each recruit is expected to persuade at least five voters.

“When multiplied across the state and nationwide, victory is assured. President Tinubu and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will fund the remuneration,” he said.

Olabimtan noted that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has been established across all 36 states to promote awareness of the administration’s policies and programmes.

He said the group would also gather feedback from grassroots communities to improve governance delivery.

“The programme aims to educate Nigerians about reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda and ensure citizens understand available opportunities,” he said.

Tinubu Ondo recruitment 2027 effort also seeks to strengthen party structures, with members tasked to engage actively with the All Progressives Congress at state, local government, and ward levels.

Olabimtan urged members to promote unity, maintain consistent messaging, and support elected officials through effective community engagement.

In a notable reassurance, he stated that the new structure would not disrupt existing Tinubu support groups operating in the state.

He also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his role in the selection process, expressing confidence that the initiative would deliver strong mobilisation outcomes ahead of the election.
