Uti Nwachukwu on Faith’s BBNaija disqualification has sparked conversations after the media personality condemned what he described as a growing tendency to label instigators of conflict as victims, calling the practice “narcissistic and dangerous.”

Taking to his X handle on Thursday, the Big Brother Africa winner and long-time BBNaija analyst, popularly known as Sir Uti, offered a sharp yet balanced perspective on the controversial disqualification of housemate Faith, following her heated confrontation with Sultana.

“Could she have acted better? Yes! Could he have handled it better? Yes!” Uti wrote. “A trigger is just as grave as a reaction.”

He continued by criticising what he called “narcissistic” behaviour in the way conflicts are interpreted.

“It is incredibly narcissistic to label the one who triggered/created/fueled the situation a victim and then label the one who reacted (without hitting the other) – an abuser,” he stated, urging fans to view the incident without bias or sentiment.

Faith was disqualified on Thursday night for his part in a verbal altercation with fellow housemate Sultana.

The incident, which unfolded live on the show, drew widespread debate online, with viewers split over who was more at fault.

According to BBNaija’s rule book, all forms of violence, provocation, bullying, and victimisation are strictly prohibited, with Big Brother reserving the right to enforce disciplinary action, including strikes or disqualification.

Uti clarified he was not defending either party but pushing for objective analysis based on what was seen live, not viral clips or online sentiment. He ended his post with a timely reminder:

“Learn the lessons and dead sentiments – this is 2025, let’s be guided.”

Faith now joins a list of ex-housemates, including Tacha (2019), Erica (2020), and Beauty (2022), who were disqualified for various rule violations involving provocation, aggression, or verbal abuse.

In the 2019 season, Tacha was disqualified after a physical altercation with Mercy, who also received strikes for her role in provoking the incident.

Similar patterns followed in subsequent seasons, sparking ongoing conversations about emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and the responsibility of reality TV platforms to guide viewer perception.
