2Baba Explains Missed London Show

2Baba Explains Missed London Show, stating he faced a medical emergency and dismissing rumours of arrest linked to his wife during UK tour kickoff

The iconic Nigerian singer, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, was scheduled to perform on Thursday at 1 Mark Lane, London—opposite Fenchurch Street Station—as part of his UK tour presented by Nero Experience and Nero Entertainment.

According to a flyer he shared on Instagram, the event was meant to kick off at 7:00 p.m. and continue late into the night.

Fans had gathered in high anticipation, eager to watch the music legend launch the first leg of his tour, which includes stops in Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Chelmsford, Bournemouth, Sheffield, and Cardiff.

However, when the African Queen hitmaker failed to appear, rumours began circulating online, suggesting that the 50-year-old star had been arrested by UK Police following a supposed altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, who currently serves as a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

Fuel was added to the fire when 2Baba had earlier posted about travelling to the UK with Natasha, leading some to link his absence to personal drama.

But in a video shared on Instagram the following day, the singer set the record straight.

“First of all, I want to appreciate everybody who came out. We had a medical emergency, and it was tough,” he said.

“So, to the organisers and everybody that came out there, we will regroup and make something very beautiful happen. And if you don’t know something, please don’t talk about it.”

He appeared in the video alongside his wife and team members, visibly healthy and relaxed, putting to rest the speculation about any police involvement.

The couple, who privately held their traditional wedding ceremony earlier this year in Abuja, have since become a regular feature at events, often showcasing their relationship to fans online.
