Victor Osimhen scores his 16th UEFA Champions League goal, surpassing Didier Drogba and placing second on Africa’s all-time scorers list

Victor Osimhen, striker for Galatasaray, has scored more UEFA Champions League goals than his boyhood hero, Didier Drogba, according to DAILY POST.

Osimhen netted Galatasaray’s first goal in a 3-2 loss at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night, helping his team progress to the Round of 16 with a 7-5 aggregate victory over Juventus.

The goal marked Osimhen’s 16th in the Champions League, surpassing Drogba’s 15 and placing him second on the list of Africa’s all-time scorers in the competition.

Serhou Guirassy of Borussia Dortmund remains Africa’s most prolific scorer in the Champions League with 18 goals.
