Wolves clear Arokodare to face Aston Villa after online racial abuse, with coach Rob Edwards confirming full support

Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. striker Tolu Arokodare has been cleared to feature against Aston Villa F.C. in Friday night’s Premier League fixture at Molineux after receiving psychological support from the club.

Tolu Arokodare, a Nigeria international, was subjected to online racial abuse following a missed penalty in Wolves’ 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace F.C. last weekend.

Head coach Rob Edwards confirmed that the striker had been given full backing by the club’s coaching staff and players during the week.

Rob Edwards said members of the squad offered individual words of encouragement while also rallying around Tolu Arokodare collectively in a strong show of unity.

Wolves clear Arokodare after reviewing his emotional and mental readiness to return to action.

The decision followed internal assessments aimed at ensuring the player’s wellbeing.

The 25-year-old forward joined Wolves from KRC Genk last summer and has scored two goals in 18 appearances for the Old Gold.
