Nollywood actor Yul Edochie advocates for Nigeria’s next president to emerge from the South-East, citing fairness and equity as key reasons

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has publicly stated that the next Nigerian president should emerge from the South-East region.

He emphasized the need for fairness, equity, and national balance in Nigeria’s political structure.

In a video posted on his Instagram page on Monday, Edochie said,
“The next President of Nigeria should come from the South-East in fairness and equity. That’s just the truth and that’s how it should be.”

Edochie, known for his outspoken political views, argued that for Nigeria to progress and maintain unity, every region must feel included in the country’s leadership.

He highlighted the long-standing marginalization of the South-East in presidential leadership since the return of democracy in 1999.
