According to the statement, the adverse weather conditions in Lagos — the hub of its operations — led to inevitable scheduling setbacks.

However, Air Peace emphasised that passenger safety remains a core commitment and the foremost priority.

“We wish to inform you that due to the heavy downpour of rain in Lagos this morning, some flights across our operating networks will be delayed,” the airline stated.

The airline acknowledged that while weather is outside its control, it is actively working to reduce the impact on travellers.

“We appeal for your understanding as we manage the disruptions as best as we can and get you to your destinations safely,” the statement continued.

Passengers were encouraged to contact Air Peace via email or phone for updated flight information.

The airline also reiterated its strong safety record, noting, “Safety is not just a priority but a core commitment. We remain dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards for our passengers and crew.”

This development comes as the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) had earlier forecasted thunderstorms and moderate rainfall across several parts of the country, including Lagos, between Monday and Wednesday.

Flash flood risks remain high in some northern and central regions.
