Cubana Chief Priest says supporting Nnamdi Kanu is best through APC. He also announces plans to contest the 2027 Federal House elections

Popular nightlife entrepreneur and influencer Cubana Chief Priest has explained that his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) aligns with his support for Nnamdi Kanu, rather than working from the opposition.

Chief Priest responded to comments by media personality VDM, who criticised his association with the current government and pledged to avoid politics.

“I cannot help Maazi Nnamdi Kanu from the opposition. I have always been an APC. My father, Governor Hope, has worked hard on APC for me not to support him as DG Renewed Hope,” he said.

He added that while he supported Peter Obi during the last election as Special Adviser to Governor Hope, he is now backing Asiwaju and plans to run for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives in 2027 under the APC.

Chief Priest described his political engagement as a means to influence change from within the system, combining his public profile with civic participation.
