Kaduna farmer attacked by armed bandits in Kubau LGA, leaving him severely injured after hand amputation

A farmer, Abdulkarim, was left critically injured after armed bandits amputated his hand while he worked on his farm in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Security analyst Bakatsine reported the incident on X, revealing that the assault occurred on Friday evening when Abdulkarim confronted the attackers on his dry-season farm.

The violence left him with severe injuries, raising concerns about the growing risks faced by farmers in the region.

“How long will farmers continue to pay the price for insecurity in their own fields?” Bakatsine asked in his post, highlighting the urgent need for protective measures for rural communities.

Authorities have yet to issue a statement regarding the attack. Residents and security watchers have expressed alarm at the increasing brazenness of banditry, with calls for strengthened security and immediate intervention in affected areas.
