Scotland captain Andy Robertson has confirmed he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the season, bringing an emotional close to his nine-year spell at Anfield.

The 32-year-old full-back made the announcement on Thursday, as the club confirmed his contract will not be renewed following a gradual decline in his role this season.

The announcement marks the end of a highly successful era for the defender, who made 373 appearances for the club and played a central role in their domestic and European resurgence under former manager Jürgen Klopp.

During his time at Anfield, Robertson won two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, becoming one of the most influential left-backs in modern English football.
