Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Luis Enrique said the club would take a cautious approach in assessing injured players ahead of the crucial semi-final first leg.

“We’ll take a calm and measured approach to see how the injured players can make a comeback. But I don’t know,” he said when asked about Vitinha’s availability.

He added that PSG must carefully manage minor injuries and fatigue within the squad as the season reaches a decisive stage.

Vitinha, a key figure in PSG’s midfield structure, has played a central role alongside João Neves and Fabian Ruiz in recent campaigns.

Should he fail to recover in time, Fabian Ruiz is expected to step in, having recently returned from a knee injury that kept him sidelined for three months.

Ruiz featured briefly in PSG’s 2-1 defeat to Lyon, with Luis Enrique noting that the Spaniard still requires time to regain full match fitness.

Despite rotation concerns, Luis Enrique stressed that he remains pleased with Ruiz’s progress and overall squad depth.

The coach also underlined his high standards for all players, insisting that PSG must continue to improve even as they chase another strong European campaign.

With domestic and European ambitions still alive, PSG face a critical period as they aim to balance squad fitness and competitive intensity.
