Rooney Bayern Champions League prediction sees the former England star tipping Bayern Munich to overcome PSG and reach the final

Former Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney has tipped Bayern Munich to overcome Paris Saint-Germain and secure a place in the UEFA Champions League final.

Rooney shared his assessment during Prime Video’s post-match coverage following the first leg of the semi-final, which saw Bayern Munich leave Paris with a narrow one-goal deficit.

The former forward said the German club’s attacking threat and defensive adjustments give them a strong chance heading into the second leg at the Allianz Arena.

He noted that Bayern Munich’s ability to score against PSG away from home, combined with the prospect of tightening their defence, makes them the more favourable side going into the return fixture.

Rooney said he would feel more comfortable being in Bayern’s position despite the first-leg result, adding that the tie remains finely balanced.

The second leg of the Champions League semi-final is scheduled for next Wednesday in Germany, where both teams will compete for a place in the final.
