Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has agreed to join Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer, bringing his illustrious European career to the United States.

The 37-year-old, who left Barcelona following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, is set to sign with the MLS club early next week, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Lewandowski visited the club and city two weeks ago as part of finalising the move.

He is not participating in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup after Poland failed to qualify.
