Aderemi Adeoye Middlesbrough Move is close as the Ikorodu City midfielder undergoes trials with the English Championship side

Aderemi Adeoye, a 19-year-old midfielder of Nigerian club Ikorodu City, is close to completing a move to English Championship side Middlesbrough after catching the attention of the club during his impressive performances in Nigeria.

Adeoye is currently undergoing trials at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium as the English club continues to assess the young midfielder ahead of a potential transfer.

The teenager joined Ikorodu City during the January transfer window and quickly became an important figure for the Lagos-based club, earning recognition for his composure, technical ability and performances in midfield.

His displays also earned him a place in Nigeria’s squad for the Unity Cup held in May, where he was part of the Super Eagles team that retained the invitational tournament title.

Adeoye made two substitute appearances during the competition, gaining valuable experience at international level alongside established Nigerian players.

The midfielder’s progress has attracted attention from abroad, with Middlesbrough now exploring the possibility of adding him to their squad as part of their plans to strengthen their options.

According to Transfermarkt, Adeoye is currently valued at €50,000, although any potential transfer fee would depend on negotiations between the clubs involved.
