APC announces Osun governorship election timetable, fees, and concessions for aspirants; updates begin October 20, 2025

APC Osun governorship election timetable and fees for 2026 have been officially released, outlining key dates and requirements for party members and aspirants.

The announcement was made on Wednesday from the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Argungu.

The election process will begin on Friday, October 3, 2025, with a formal notice of election to the Osun State chapter.

This will be followed by an update of the party membership register across the state from Monday, October 20 to Friday, October 31, 2025.

Only members appearing in the updated register who have paid dues for at least one year (up to February 2025) will be eligible to vote or contest.

The sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms is scheduled to start on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, and end on Monday, December 1, 2025. Aspirants are expected to submit their forms along with supporting documents before the deadline.

To promote inclusivity, the APC introduced concessions:

Women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs): Only required to purchase the Expression of Interest Form; Nomination Form is free.
Youth (ages 25–40): Eligible for a 50% discount on the Nomination Form.

The fee structure for aspirants is as follows:

Expression of Interest Form: ₦10 million
Nomination Form: ₦40 million
Total for Governorship Forms: ₦50 million
Delegate Form: ₦5,000

Forms will be available at the APC Directorate of Organization, National Headquarters, 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja. The party emphasised that only financial members with at least three months of active membership before the delegate congress will participate.

Other activities on the timetable include screening of aspirants, publication of results, appeal hearings, the primary election, and a congress to ratify the final outcome, all in line with the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended).
