Despite long-standing speculation linking Arsenal to Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, insiders have confirmed that the Premier League giants will not make a formal bid.

Sporting Director Andrea Berta, newly appointed at the Emirates, reportedly advised against acquiring a second elite striker in one window due to both financial logic and squad balance.

Arsenal paid over £65 million to secure Gyökeres, who is set to become the club’s primary No. 9 heading into the new season. With Kai Havertz also available as a central option, the club’s attention will now turn to strengthening other key areas.

Isak’s Premier League form and finishing ability had placed him high on Arsenal’s radar. However, fitness concerns and injury history played a pivotal role in the decision to withdraw interest.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have surged to the front of the Isak race, reportedly submitting a £110–£120 million bid, which Newcastle rejected.

The Magpies remain firm, valuing the Swedish striker closer to £150 million, and are under no pressure to sell due to Isak’s long-term contract.
