FC Barcelona Femení have clinched their seventh consecutive Spanish league title after a commanding 4-1 victory over RCD Espanyol Femení in the Catalan derby on Wednesday.

The result sealed the Liga F crown with four matches remaining, extending Barcelona’s domestic dominance and confirming another near-perfect campaign.

Teenage forward Martine Fenger scored twice for FC Barcelona Femení, while Caroline Graham Hansen and Carla Julià also found the net in a dominant display that underlined their superiority this season.

Barcelona have now secured 11 league titles overall, with this latest triumph marking a seventh straight championship in a remarkable era of success for the club.

The Catalan side have won 25 of their 26 league matches this season, with their only defeat coming against Real Sociedad in November, highlighting their consistency and control throughout the campaign.

Their closest rivals, Real Madrid Femenino, remain second in the table but trail by 16 points despite having a game in hand.

FC Barcelona Femení are still competing for a historic treble, with a UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich ahead and a Copa de la Reina final against Atlético Madrid scheduled for May 16.
