Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 winners will be unveiled in Doha on December 16, with the ceremony streamed live on FIFA.com

The winners of the Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 will be unveiled on Tuesday at a special ceremony in Doha, Qatar, world football’s governing body, FIFA, has announced.

FIFA said the event will be held on the eve of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025 final between Paris Saint-Germain and CR Flamengo at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

The ceremony will be broadcast live and free on FIFA.com from 20:00 local time, corresponding to 18:00 CET.

In a statement released on Monday via its official X account, FIFA said the world’s top players and coaches will be honoured during the FIFA Celebration 2025 Dinner at the Fairmont Katara Hall in Doha.

Several awards, including those for fans, goalkeepers and goals, will be announced ahead of the gala through digital videos across FIFA platforms and social media channels.

FIFA also confirmed that the FIFA Fair Play Award will be revealed as part of the celebrations.

About 800 guests are expected at the ceremony, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino, members of the FIFA Council, FIFA Legends, representatives of Member Associations, and regional football ambassadors.

Fans played a decisive role in the selection process, casting more than 16 million votes across multiple award categories.

Major honours, including the Best FIFA Women’s Player, Best FIFA Men’s Player, Best FIFA Women’s Coach, Best FIFA Men’s Coach, and the goalkeeper awards, were determined through an equally weighted voting system involving fans, national team captains and coaches, and media representatives.

Supporters also voted for the Best FIFA Women’s 11 and Best FIFA Men’s 11, while voting for the FIFA Marta Award and the FIFA Puskás Award was split between fans and a panel of FIFA Legends.

The FIFA Fan Award was decided solely by fans, while the FIFA Fair Play Award was selected by an expert panel.

Paris Saint-Germain are strongly represented on the shortlist, with Ousmane Dembélé joined by teammates Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes and Vitinha.

In the women’s category, Barcelona star Aitana Bonmatí, the reigning Ballon d’Or winner, is among 17 nominees and is widely regarded as a leading contender.
