Bode George PDP Lagos Crisis warning as he accuses Setonji Koshoedo of unfair handling of congress forms, urging NWC intervention

In an open letter addressed to the National Working Committee (NWC), George accused the Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, of single-handedly managing the distribution of congress nomination forms without proper consultation.

He argued that the move disregards ongoing reconciliation efforts by senior stakeholders and risks igniting internal disputes.

George described Koshoedo’s approach as “a recipe for acrimony, mayhem, and potential court cases,” stressing that such interference undermines party unity in a state where the PDP already struggles to gain political traction.

He questioned why a member allegedly inactive in Lagos PDP affairs, both financially and organisationally, would assume such authority.

The Lagos PDP leader alleged that some forms were distributed to individuals who had defected to opposition parties, while long-standing party loyalists, including life-members of the Board of Trustees, were excluded.

He criticised the involvement of Koshoedo’s aide, Senyon, in directly handling the forms, calling the act “insulting, unfair, unjust, and unacceptable.”

According to George, the Lagos chapter is still recovering from previous crises and cannot afford another fracture, recalling the PDP’s historically poor performance in the 2023 elections.

He warned that Koshoedo’s continued interference could deepen divisions within the party.

Declaring Koshoedo a “political persona non grata” in Lagos, George urged the NWC to intervene immediately to prevent the situation from escalating further.
