Bola Tinubu attends church service in Jos, Plateau State, where he joined mourners at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) for the funeral of Nana Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Professor Nantewe Yilwatda Goshwe.

The President’s presence at the solemn event was seen by many as a gesture of unity and respect across religious lines.

Tinubu, a practising Muslim from Lagos State, is married to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, an ordained Assistant Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The service drew dignitaries, clerics, and political figures from across the country, who paid tribute to the late matriarch’s legacy of faith and community service.

Tinubu’s attendance was described by observers as a powerful symbol of tolerance and shared national identity amid Nigeria’s complex religious diversity.

During the 2023 presidential race, Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim ticket had sparked nationwide debate over representation and inclusion.

However, his recent appearance at the Christian gathering in Jos is being viewed as a bridge-building effort aimed at reinforcing religious harmony.
