Former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Čech has advised his former club to rethink its recruitment strategy if it hopes to compete for major honours such as the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

According to him, consistency is crucial in competitions like the Premier League and Champions League, and that requires leadership both on and off the pitch.

Chelsea’s current squad profile has been heavily youth-focused, with limited senior presence in key positions, a situation Čech believes could hinder long-term success.
