Delta women endorse Tinubu and Oborevwori for re-election in 2027, declaring full grassroots support at Asaba event hosted by Unique Ladies for Sheriff

Delta women endorse Tinubu and Oborevwori for the 2027 general elections, declaring unwavering grassroots support for both leaders at a vibrant political gathering in Asaba.

The endorsement came during a well-attended event hosted by Unique Ladies for Sheriff (ULF) at the Cenotaph, where women representatives from all 25 local government areas of Delta State gathered to reaffirm their allegiance.

With songs, banners, and traditional attire, the women loudly declared that there is “no vacancy” in Aso Rock and Government House, Asaba—pledging to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to office unopposed.

Delivering the keynote address themed “Touching the Grassroots,” Dame Nkem Patience Okwuofu, National Coordinator of ULF, described the moment as a rallying call for Delta women to strengthen political structures and community engagement.

“We are reaching out to young girls, farmers, artisans, and businesswomen—the true heartbeat of Delta State,” she said. “We must continue to communicate the governor’s development strides and consolidate support for the MORE Agenda.”

She praised Governor Oborevwori and his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, for their inclusive governance and ongoing support for women-focused initiatives.

Mrs. Ewoma Erijo, representing the First Lady, applauded the unity among Delta women and assured them of continued engagement from the First Lady’s office.

In his goodwill message, Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, encouraged women to play active roles in government programmes, particularly at the grassroots.

“Let every woman be a virtue in her community,” he urged. “Ensure that interventions are properly directed and fully embraced.”

A motion of vote of confidence was moved by Princess Pat, reaffirming the women’s collective trust in the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

“By virtue of what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori have achieved, we, the Unique Ladies for Sheriff, pass a vote of confidence in them. Come 2027, both leaders will return unopposed.”

The motion was seconded by Irene Imilar, who reiterated the group’s belief in the duo’s ability to continue steering the country and state toward development and stability.

With their grassroots machinery already in motion, the Delta women’s endorsement could serve as a significant boost to the 2027 campaign narratives of both leaders.
