Education pass rates have shown an impressive improvement across several core subjects, the Commissioner of Education, Olohungbebe, revealed.

The pass rates rose notably in Mathematics (+2.23 percentage points), English (+2.94 pp), National Values (+4.51 pp), History (+3.72 pp), and Pre-Vocational Studies (+3.33 pp).

Olohungbebe emphasized that the improvements are not limited to pass thresholds but extend to average scores as well, with English, Mathematics, National Values, and Pre-Vocational Studies all registering better overall performance.

“These results show that more candidates are sitting for the examination and a larger share is achieving success. The system is trending in the right direction,” he said confidently.

Parents, guardians, and school principals have been advised to collect the students’ results from the Ministry of Education starting Thursday, September 11, 2025, free of charge.

The commissioner issued a strong warning to school principals against extorting students, stressing that the collection of results and scratch cards for checking are entirely free.
