Ejike Uzoenyi Rangers NPFL title support as the former winger backs Rangers to win the league, urging fair officiating in the title race

Former Rangers International winger, Ejike Uzoenyi has expressed confidence that his former club will secure the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title, provided officiating remains fair and consistent in the final stretch of the season.

Enugu-based side currently sit at the top of the NPFL table with 62 points, holding a narrow advantage over Rivers United as the title race enters its closing stages.

Rangers are just one point ahead of Rivers United with two matches remaining, setting up a tense finish to what has been a tightly contested campaign.

Uzoenyi stressed that the outcome of the title race should be decided purely on fairness and performance on the pitch, rather than external influence.

“Let both teams play their games and let the officiating be seen to be free and fair,” he said.

“Whether they play at home or not, or whoever they face, makes no difference. What matters is fair officiating and with that, Rangers will win,” he added.

Rangers are scheduled to face Bendel Insurance and Ikorodu City in their final two fixtures, while Rivers United will take on Wikki Tourists and Katsina United.

With the league title hanging in the balance, both clubs are expected to approach their remaining matches with maximum intensity as the season reaches a dramatic conclusion.
