Falcons stars Champions League outings see Echegini score for PSG while Babajide and Oladipo help Roma secure a big win

Super Falcons players Jennifer Echegini, Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo featured prominently for their clubs as UEFA Women’s Champions League matches were concluded in Portugal and Italy.

In Lisbon, Jennifer Echegini scored for Paris Saint-Germain Women in a 1–1 draw away to Benfica.

The Nigerian midfielder gave PSG an early advantage in the fifth minute with a composed finish.

Benfica responded in the 32nd minute through Carole Costa, who converted a penalty to restore parity.

Echegini completed the full match for PSG, while fellow Nigerian Christy Ucheibe was an unused substitute for Benfica.

Another Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, missed the fixture as she continues her recovery from injury.

The result leaves PSG without a win in the competition, sitting 17th on the table with two points from six matches.

In Rome, AS Roma Women secured their first victory of the campaign with a dominant 6–1 win over Austria’s SKN St. Pölten.

Super Falcons duo Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo both featured in the emphatic triumph.

Babajide provided the assist for Roma’s second goal in the 19th minute, finished by Alayah Pilgrim.

The winger was substituted in the 66th minute after a lively display.

Oladipo continued her consistent run, featuring in her sixth Champions League match of the season.
