According to the Sunderland Echo, Trabzonspor has approached Lazio to assess the conditions of a possible deal for the 24-year-old Nigeria international, increasingly regarded as one of the most sought-after Nigerian talents in Europe.

Lazio have set a valuation between €15m and €20m (£12.7m–£16.9m), reflecting Dele-Bashiru’s age, versatility, and contract running until June 2028.

While the Serie A side face no immediate pressure to sell, they are conscious of growing interest from clubs in both the Premier League and Turkish Super Lig.

A former Manchester City academy product, Dele-Bashiru’s stock has risen after his performances for the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he featured in six matches as Nigeria secured the bronze medal.

He notably provided the assist for Paul Onuachu in Nigeria’s 3-1 group-stage victory over Uganda.

Despite his current market value being estimated at €6.5m (£5.5m), Lazio’s asking price factors in his physical attributes, versatility, and remaining contract length, making him a prized asset.

At present, discussions are exploratory with no formal agreement reached.
