Nigeria’s Flamingos intensify preparations in Ikenne ahead of their U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, Nigeria Flamingos, have arrived in Ikenne, Ogun State, to step up preparations for their upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea.

Flamingos U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier Guinea preparations follow a month-long training camp in Abuja, where the team fine-tuned tactics ahead of the decisive fixtures.

Head coach Akeem Busari’s side played five friendly matches during their camp, recording four victories and one draw, as they sharpened their readiness for international competition.

The first leg of the qualifier will take place in Conakry on Sunday, 24 May, while the return leg is scheduled for the Remo Stars Stadium in Nigeria one week later.

The winner over the two legs will secure qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup scheduled to be hosted by Morocco later in the year.
