Sheffield United express interest in Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka, with the club open to a loan with option to buy as playing time remains limited

The Sky Bet Championship side are looking to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season and have formally enquired about the Nigerian international.

Onyeka, 28, has struggled for regular playing time at Brentford this season.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Bundesliga side Augsburg and has also been linked with Spanish club Valencia.
