Governor Siminalayi Fubara was at the State House on Monday evening, where he held a closed-door session with President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking with journalists afterwards, Fubara explained that the meeting was both an appreciation visit and an opportunity to seek counsel. “You are aware that the suspension was lifted midnight, 17th and I resumed on the 19th.

I’m here to tell Mr President that I’m back and have also resumed my responsibility as Governor of Rivers State,” he said.
