Nigerian rapper Ice Prince explains his dramatic weight loss, saying it resulted from lifestyle changes, not illness, with support from producer Chopstix

Ice Prince weight loss has sparked conversations online after fans noticed his visibly slimmer frame, prompting speculation about his health.

The Nigerian singer and rapper has now clarified that he is not sick, explaining that his transformation was the result of intentional lifestyle changes rather than any medical condition.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the ‘Oleku’ crooner said he decided to shed excess belly fat after loved ones raised concerns about his weight.

“God so good inna me life… A short story! [I] was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices,” he wrote.

Ice Prince revealed that music producer Chopstix and a close friend, Dami, motivated him to start his fitness journey.

“They said, ‘Let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain. From that meeting, Chopstix started coming to my house every evening after dinner, and we both walked my estate for an hour,” he shared.

According to him, those walks became a bonding moment filled with meaningful conversations, describing them as “priceless.”

“I’ll always value those talks — as every other thing we’ve discussed since we were kids,” he added.

In recent years, several Nigerian celebrities have undergone major body transformations.

Actress Eniola Badmus lost 80 kilograms between 2021 and 2022, while Mercy Johnson-Okojie’s weight loss earlier this year stirred public concern until she clarified it was related to a thyroid operation.
