Governor Hope Uzodimma, through a statement by the Commissioner for Industry, Mines and Solid Minerals, Chief Ernest Ibejiako, ordered an immediate stop to further sale of land in the areas.

The directive also prohibits new construction, development, or erection of structures within the layouts. Property owners are required to submit their title documents to the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Solid Minerals for urgent verification.

“Any person, group, or organization found violating this directive shall face the full weight of the law, including revocation of property rights, demolition of illegal structures, and prosecution,” the statement warned.
