In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, INEC confirmed that the media organisations met all accreditation requirements and would be granted full access to cover the exercise across the state.

The Commission announced that the distribution of accreditation tags would take place from Monday, November 3 to Thursday, November 6, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the International Press Centre, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat Complex, located behind the Central Bank of Nigeria in Awka.

INEC emphasised that all accredited journalists must adhere strictly to the Code of Conduct for Election Coverage, warning that the accreditation of any media outlet or individual found violating the code could be withdrawn or cancelled.

INEC also revealed that select accredited media organisations had been granted access to the Collation Centre to ensure transparent and comprehensive coverage of result collation.

These outlets, the Commission added, must comply with all security and operational protocols.
