Warsaw, Poland, Wednesday, June 5, 2026, saw Poland national team head coach Jan Urban react to his side’s 2-2 international friendly draw against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at Stadion PGE Narodowy, describing the Nigerian team as “very cruel” in their attacking efficiency during a tightly contested encounter.

Jan Urban stated that Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles were highly effective in front of goal, converting limited opportunities in a match he felt could have unfolded differently for the hosts.

His remarks came after a balanced game in which both sides traded goals in an intense display.

Nigeria opened the scoring in the 25th minute through Terem Moffi, who finished off a well constructed move involving Moses Simon.

Poland responded just before half time when Kacper Potulski restored parity for the hosts.

The second half continued at a high tempo, with Paul Onuachu putting Nigeria back in front before Przemyslaw Wiśniewski levelled the scoreline once again to secure a 2-2 draw.

Urban admitted that the decisive factor was Nigeria’s clinical edge, noting that the Super Eagles did not need numerous chances to punish his team.

His comments reflected both frustration and respect for the efficiency shown by the Nigerian side.

Despite the disappointment of not securing victory at home, Urban stressed that the result would not define his team, as the fixture formed part of a broader preparation cycle for upcoming competitive matches.
