Kaduna Police boost security and issue safety advisory ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations to ensure peaceful festivities across the state

The Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has strengthened security measures and issued a public safety advisory ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

In a statement, DSP Mansir Hassan, Police Public Relations Officer, said the command has deployed tactical commanders, intelligence operatives, and other personnel across all parts of the state, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centres, highways, and other strategic locations, to guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.

The statement reiterated that the use of fireworks, knockouts, and other explosive devices remains strictly prohibited.

Parents and guardians have been urged to caution children and wards against using such items, while violators face arrest and prosecution.

The public has also been encouraged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movements, persons, or objects to the nearest police station.

DSP Hassan said the measures aim to ensure the safety of residents before, during, and after the festivities, highlighting the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order during the religious celebrations.
