Katsina United unveil 11 new signings ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season as chairman Surajo Malumfashi backs the new recruits to improve the team’s fortunes

Katsina United have officially unveiled 11 new players as part of preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The unveiling ceremony took place at the club’s secretariat in Katsina, where Chairman Surajo Malumfashi introduced the latest additions to the squad and expressed confidence in their ability to improve the team’s performance in the new campaign.

Among the headline signings are Samson Obi, Micheal Ibeh, Koroma Francis, Ubong Essien and Chinedu Benjamin, all expected to add quality and depth to the squad.

The remaining recruits unveiled by the club are Luis Dadong, Kolawole Oladipo, Joshua Akpan, Emmanuel Bakare and Abba Musa.

Speaking during the unveiling, Malumfashi said the club believes the new signings will play a key role in helping Katsina United achieve a more successful campaign after strengthening several areas of the team.

“We are confident these players will boost the team’s performance and contribute positively to our objectives for the coming season,” the chairman said.

Katsina United have already begun pre-season training as preparations intensify ahead of the new NPFL campaign, with the coaching staff expected to integrate the new arrivals into the squad in the coming weeks.
