United will be without Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui, both sidelined through injury. Martinez remains in recovery from a long-term knee problem, while Mazraoui is out with a hamstring strain.

Amorim, aiming for a strong start to the 2025/26 season, said Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee are in contention after recovering from knocks, while new signing Benjamin Sesko is in line to make his debut.

“No, Licha [Lisandro Martinez] and Mazraoui are out, they cannot play this game. Josh \[Zirkzee] and Andre \[Onana] are recovering and are options. We’ll see,” Amorim told reporters on Friday.
