Trabzonspor confirmed the development in an official statement, saying: “Mohamed Salah, with whom we have begun transfer negotiations, will be at Istanbul Ataturk Airport at 12:00 on Wednesday, August 5. The player is scheduled to arrive in Trabzon on the same day in the evening hours.”

The decisive update comes only a week after Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan publicly dismissed reports linking the club with Salah, insisting earlier claims of an agreement were untrue.

The club’s latest announcement therefore represents a significant shift from denying negotiations to confirming formal discussions.

Reuters reported that a signing could follow in Trabzon if negotiations conclude successfully.
