Mudryk transfer interest grows after the Chelsea winger becomes eligible to play again, with clubs monitoring his future after a reduced ban

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has attracted interest from several clubs after becoming eligible to return to football following a successful appeal against his doping suspension.

According to TalkSPORT, the 25-year-old Ukraine international is now being monitored by a number of teams, with discussions expected over his future at Stamford Bridge before the new season begins.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) partially upheld Mudryk’s appeal against a four-year doping ban, allowing the forward to resume his playing career after his suspension was reduced.

Mudryk is currently set to complete Chelsea’s pre-season tour in Asia before deciding on his next step with the club.

The winger is expected to receive clarity by mid-August on whether he will remain part of Chelsea’s first-team plans, move elsewhere on loan or leave permanently.

Coventry City have emerged as one of the clubs interested in the player, although they are not believed to be the only side monitoring his availability.

Chelsea are understood to want to assess Mudryk’s fitness, form and readiness before making a final decision. The club will also work with the player to determine the option that best suits all parties.

The Ukrainian joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 in a high-profile transfer but has struggled to consistently deliver his best form in England due to injuries, competition for places and inconsistent performances.

His return to football provides an opportunity to rebuild momentum and revive his Chelsea career or secure a fresh start elsewhere.
