The 21-year-old right-back, currently at Brentford, has attracted the attention of Napoli boss Antonio Conte, who is reportedly seeking reliable cover for Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

While there has been no formal approach yet, Italian outlet SpazioNapoli suggests Kayode is high on the club’s shortlist.

Kayode, under contract at Brentford until 2030, will not come cheap.

Despite a dip in form during the latter stages of the 2024–25 campaign, he has made seven appearances this season in the Premier League.

While he has not contributed any assists thus far, his defensive work rate, stamina, and long-throw ability could prove valuable in Conte’s system.

With Napoli sitting top of Serie A, Conte is already planning for sustained success.

The club has made key signings in the summer, including Kevin De Bruyne, Rasmus Højlund (on loan), and Noa Lang, and the focus has now turned to ensuring tactical flexibility across the back line.

The club’s interest in Kayode reflects Conte’s desire to maintain the high standards that led them to their fourth Serie A title last season.

Napoli have started the current campaign strongly with five wins from six matches, losing only to AC Milan.

With 15 points on the board and ambitions to retain the title, squad depth is crucial—particularly in defence, where injuries and fixture congestion could prove costly.

While Kayode remains just one of several names linked to the club, his Italian roots and development in the Premier League might make him a preferred choice for Napoli in January.
